Reporting to the Senior Surety Manager, your main function will be to provide administrative and technical support to the various members of the Surety team in the Commercial Lines department. The incumbent will be required to develop technical knowledge in surety and work as part of a team with commercial property and casualty insurance managers and brokers.
Your responsibilities.
Prepare and update the following documentation:
- Bid bond
- Performance and payment bonds for labor and materials
- License bond renewal letter
- Manage the bonding department’s centralized e-mail inbox on a daily basis
- Invoice and schedule pre-authorized debits
- Issue license and permit bonds in the various insurers’ portals
- Coordinate signatures and mailings to customers
- Maintain up-to-date bond documentation in general files
- Collect and transcribe financial information
- Perform all other related tasks.
Your skills, your potential.
- Have a College diploma
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Be interested in obtaining certification as a “General Insurance Representative” from the Autorité des marchés financiers (an asset)
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Demonstrate autonomy, cooperation and courtesy in working with others
- Good computer skills (approx. Windows and MS Office)
- Good command of French (advanced level) and English (advanced level) in order to complete documentation in English.
