The primary objective of this role is to recommend and sell personal lines insurance solutions that meet the needs of clients who already hold one or more insurance products with our Business Services team. You will be responsible for developing a business portfolio that reflects your strengths, building trusting relationships with clients, delivering consistent customer service, and ensuring long‑term client loyalty.
Your responsibilities
- Analyze, understand, and identify client risks and needs.
- Act as an advisor by explaining and simplifying insurance concepts for clients.
- Recommend solutions tailored to the reality of corporate clients.
- Negotiate on behalf of clients with various insurers.
- Build trusting relationships and foster client loyalty.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurers.
- Participate in the claims process.
- Prioritize the satisfaction of our corporate clientele.
- Stay informed about all products and services offered by insurers.
- Identify opportunities and develop a business portfolio that reflects your strengths.
- Attend corporate events and participate in partnerships and sponsorships.
- Deliver a unique client experience aligned with Lareau – Insurance Brokers’ values.
- Collaborate with the broker assigned to the client within the Business Services team.
- Ensure timely follow‑ups with clients, with a maximum response time of 1 hour.
- Prioritize the satisfaction of our corporate clientele.
Your skills and potential
- Hold an Attestation of College Studies (AEC) in Property & Casualty Insurance, a College Diploma (DEC), or a Bachelor’s degree.
- Have 1 to 3 years of experience as a Personal Lines Insurance Broker (SAP).
- Be driven by sales, prospecting, and customer service.
- Possess strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills, sometimes under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate diplomacy and sound judgment when managing situations with diverging interests.
- Strong priority management, organizational skills, and autonomy.
- Advanced proficiency in French and English, spoken and written, as bilingual brokers interact daily with English‑speaking clients.
