Content development and training specialist
Your mandate will be to work on the ongoing development of in-house technical training to support the service to individuals. You will also be called upon to create, standardize and update training tools, while providing technical training to the various players in the personal-lines department.
Your responsibilities.
- Develop the content of documentation for internal technical training and continuing education (guides, procedures, policies, exercises, PPT presentations, checklists, etc.).
- Participate in the optimization of internal training programs.
- Provide initial and ongoing training for Retail Brokers, including new business procedures, modifications, renewals, cancellations, wording and new products.
- Provide initial training on basic computer and telephone tools, in line with the needs of the position, for all new Private Client team members and administrative staff.
- Carry out post-training follow-up and mentoring to validate the transfer of learning.
- Evaluate and analyze technical training needs for the personal service department and propose training programs in line with these needs.
- Work as part of a team to prepare and update explanatory documents for customers.
- Act as a resource person and training supervisor during the training period.
- Maintain a strategic watch on products offered by insurers and on the latest developments in personal insurance.
- Propose technical training content to help achieve the company’s annual objectives.
- Participate in the evaluation of employee knowledge before, during and after training.
- Ensure the andragogical quality of technical training.
- Participate in the process of accounting for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for the personal service department.
- Manage business volume.
Your skills, your potential.
- Have a University degree or certificate.
- Pedagogical and/or andragogical skills.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Windows env., etc.).
- Comfortable with new technologies and content creation applications.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Personal-lines Broker.
- Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance.
- Hold AMF certification as a general insurance representative.
- Have or be interested in obtaining ChAD trainer certification.
- Organized and meticulous.
- Be bilingual (spoken, written, and understood) to ensure an inclusive experience for English-speaking employees.
