Your main function will be to propose and sell commercial damage insurance solutions that meet the needs of clients for accounts generating an average premium of $10,000 or less. As such, you will be called upon to develop business volume, establish relationships of trust with your clients, provide consistent customer service and ensure client loyalty.
Your responsibilities.
- Take incoming calls, via automatic call distribution (ACD) or via internal referral.
- Complete or update the proposal based on the information gathered from the client.
- Analyze and understand the client’s operations.
- Market and place with various insurance carriers.
- Verify and present the service offer, the comparison or the renewal.
- Follow up on the payment of insurance policies.
- Support clients in the event of a claim by getting involved in the claims process.
- Prepare, verify and transmit various insurance documents (applications, quotes, cover notes, insurance contracts, modifications, coverage summaries, certificates, etc.).
- Manage accounts receivable and a portfolio of existing clients.
- Update the insurance needs of your clientele at the time of renewal.
- Propose complementary products.
- Regularly update client files and coverage as required.
Your skills, your potential.
- Have a College diploma.
- Possess the “Commercial Lines Damage Insurance Representative” permit from the Autorité des marchés financiers.
- Have relevant experience in customer service and/or sales.
- Be motivated by sales and customer service.
- Have the necessary skills to present, negotiate and close sales.
- Have good computer skills (approx. Windows, MS Office).
- Be bilingual (French and English, spoken and written) to ensure an inclusive customer experience for English-speaking customers.
